Lindsay Plake is Liz (aka Liza)
Lindsay Plake is a Los Angeles based actor working in film, theater, commercials, print and new media. She is a graduate of the University of Southern California with degrees in theater, communication, and international relations.
Lindsay is a member of the City Garage Theatre Company in Santa Monica where she was nominated for the Stage Raw Theater Awards in the best two-person performance category for her portrayal of Right in Sebastian Mayewski's right left with heels. You may also have seen her in the following City Garage Productions: Phoebe Zeitgeist Returns to Earth, Grimly Handsome, Adam & Evie, Almost Equal To, Carmen Disruption, and The Resistible Rise of Arturo Ui.
She attributes her desires as an actor to watching classic movies as a young girl with her family. Such films featuring her favorite starlets like Vivian Leigh, Marilyn Monroe, and Bette Davis were and continue to be great inspirations to her. She lives by these words of Audrey Hepburn - “Nothing is impossible, the word itself says ‘I’m possible’!”
FIVE QUESTIONS WITH LINDSAY:
1. What was your path to becoming an actor?
I went to a religious preschool and played mother Mary in the nativity play during Christmas time. Since that moment forth, I knew I was meant to be an actor.
2. Where do you hope to be in five years?
I hope to be on set working on the latest hot new Hollywood blockbuster or on stage living moment to moment.
3. What are the five films that have influenced you the most?
Gone with the Wind, Dr. Zhivago, An Affair to Remember, The Wizard of Oz, Titanic, All About Eve, Spartacus – sorry, had to pick seven!
4. Who are your biggest acting icons and influences?
Bette Davis, Marilyn Monroe, Al Pacino, Robin Williams, Gilda Radner, and Vivien Leigh.
5. If your pet could talk, what would it say to you?
Molly, my Maltese-poodle-angel mix, would say, “Mom, I’m so proud of you.”
